What is recorded here
Belcoo East held a post-medieval settlement where people lived, worked and died before modern boundaries arrived. The land may have smelled of wood smoke, wet grass and animal warmth while neighbours argued, loved or forgot each other’s names. That much is missing now, but the ground still belongs to the dead and their ordinary choices.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Historic Settlement Belcoo. Recorded period: POST-MED. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
