A circular enclosure (diam. c. 70m), on high ground overlooking surrounding area, defined by a bank of earth and stone (Wth c. 5.3m, ext. D c. 1.9m) and external fosse (Wth c. 7.7m, ext. D c. 0.9m). Now very degraded at S. No evidence of original entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
