Hill of Mungo, St John's Well

St John's Well on the Hill of Mungo is associated with St John the Baptist and was traditionally visited for healing and protection, particularly during the summer solstice and other seasonal festivals. The site reflects a blend of Christian and pre-Christian traditions common in Scottish sacred landscapes.
