This black commemorative plaque records: The oldest part of this ancient Inn dates back to the early 15th Century. Tradition has it that Henry V was entertained here on his victorious return after the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.
King Henry V of England ruled from 1413 to 1422 and is remembered for his military successes, particularly the victory at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, which significantly enhanced English prestige during the Hundred Years' War.
