Ulster History Circle, Henry Joy McCracken, United Irishman, 37 High Street. A house near that address gave birth to McCracken in 1767. He lived until 1798 and joined the United Irishman cause. The plaque still points to the lost building and remembers the man who flew from that ordinary street into history.
