Henry Joseph Clarke

Henry Joseph Clarke was born in Donegal, Ireland, on July 7, 1833, before moving to Canada at age three. He became the third Premier of Manitoba and its first Attorney General, shaping the province's legal system during a turbulent founding era. Clarke died near Medicine Hat, Alberta, on September 13, 1889, leaving behind a career marked by sharp political conflicts and decisive lawmaking.
