This grey commemorative plaque records: 50th anniversary end of the Second World War. The Congregational Church Hall, billet for 'B' Company 1st BN (43rd) Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry 18th Oct 1943 to 14th June 1944 35 of whom were later killed in the battlefield of N.W. Europe. "We will remember them". In gratitude from the people of Faversham Recorded plaque organisation: Faversham Borough Council.
Henry Hasler's plaque commemorates the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II and honors the soldiers who were billeted at The Congregational Church Hall in Faversham before their deployment to the battlefields of Northwest Europe.
