Hen Cliff is a sea cliff located in Dorset, composed primarily of Jurassic limestone, dating to the Middle to Upper Jurassic period, approximately 165 to 150 million years old. It formed through the accumulation of marine sediments in a shallow tropical sea and is notable for its exposure of the Dorset Coast's rich fossil record and its contribution to the region's status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
