Hempriggs

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Hempriggs as Chambered Cairn (neolithic). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Hempriggs is a Neolithic chambered cairn, dating to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3500–2500 BCE). Such tombs are significant as they reflect early communal burial practices and social organisation in prehistoric Scotland.
