HEADSTONE; 2 BURIALS; CIST; URN BURIAL (O.S. memoir site; unlocated)

What is recorded here

Two burials, a cist and an urn still belong to Coolmaghra, though no exact point marks them now. The prehistoric dead may have chosen that ground for love, fear or simple habit. A lost headstone could have stood above them before storm or plough took it. Memory, not survey, must carry the place now.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as HEADSTONE; 2 BURIALS; CIST; URN BURIAL (O.S. memoir site; unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN; PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
