The public map records this plaque for Guy Fawkes. Its recorded inscription reads: Hereabouts lived the parents of Guy Fawkes of Gunpowder Plot fame, who was baptized in St. Michael-le-Belfrey Church in 1570.
Guy Fawkes is remembered for his role in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, an unsuccessful conspiracy to assassinate King James I and destroy the House of Lords.
