What is recorded here
No visible graves remain in Knockanboy, yet the survey marker still points to a buried graveyard. The land may have swallowed the stones, erased the fences or simply forgotten the names of the dead. What is certain is that people once chose this ground for death and later stopped remembering why.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as GRAVEYARD (O.S. memoir site; unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
