What is recorded here

Not marked on the 1841 or 1909 eds OS 6-inch map. Reference to a church (LA016-023001-) and graveyard here within a rath (LA016-023005-) (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 186). No visible surface remains. Four bronze daggers and burials were discovered (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 180). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
