What is recorded here

Grass and scattered boulders mark a hilltop burial ground beside a small church in County Carlow. People may have laid their dead beneath open sky before stone walls or formal boundaries shaped local faith. The grave markers are no longer distinct, but the land still keeps the shape of loss and memory.

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
