What is recorded here
Lisbreen Half Quarter holds a children's burial ground where small bodies entered the earth before records existed. The ground remains uncertain in age but certain in purpose, preserving young lives that never reached adulthood. Its quiet location in County Antrim still carries the weight of those forgotten deaths.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as GRAVEYARD: CHILDREN' BURIAL GROUND. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
