A tapering limestone slab (L 1.85m; Wth at top 0.59m; Wth at base 0.54m; T 0.13m) with a chamfered edge (W 0.02m). It is carved in relief with a cross and shaft on a stepped Calvary mount. Along the top of the shield 'INRI' is inscribed. There is a latin inscription in black letter script in a rectangular band which runs along the top of the slab and drapes vertically on either side of the shield. The inscription has been transcribed by Carrigan (1903, 452) as: HIC IACENT DONALDUS OHE / DYAN & FILIUS EIUS ANNO DNI M CCCC LII and translated as, 'Here lie Donnell O'Heydan and his son, A.D. 1452'. The slab has three bad horizontal cracks and between two of these there is a further vertical crack.
