Graveslab in Inistioge: In the Lady Chapel at the Augustinian Priory in Inistioge, a floor slab bears ‘IHS’, a cross and an English inscription honouring David Busher, who died in 1650, and his wife Ivan Joyce. The chamber is quiet now, but the names still stand out beneath footsteps, marking a married life that ended in that century and was later remembered in stone.
