What is recorded here

Graveslab fragments from the 13th or 14th century still wear an incised cross-shaft inside St Mary's parish church in Kilkenny. They were re-shaped as coping for the north gable of the north transept, then moved in 2015 to the south side of the south wall of that same transept. The fossiliferous limestone has been handled, cut and set again, carrying a dead person's marker into the living body of the church.
