Graveslab fragment from St Mary's parish church, Kilkenny, cut from fossiliferous limestone and decorated with an incised cross-head ending in fleur-de-lis. It had been reused to block a recess on a pier in the south arcade when excavation uncovered it in 2015. The slab may have marked a burial before the church took it into its own structure, turning a grave into a hidden support beneath foot traffic.
