Graveslab in Gardens (kilkenny City By., St. Mary’s Par.) is a 13th/14th-century uninscribed fragment reused in the external face of the S wall of the nave at St Mary's parish church in Kilkenny. Made from fossiliferous limestone and bearing an incised cross-shaft, it marks a burial stripped of name yet preserved through reuse. The stone may have watched feasts, funerals and quiet prayers before becoming part of the church itself.
