What is recorded here

Graveslab in Canon Island is a broken medieval stone lying beneath the east window, preserving the shape of a dead person but refusing to reveal their name. Its smooth bevelled edge and tapering width suggest careful human work, yet time has erased every mark that would have spoken back. The chamber holds two such slabs, one near the wall and one beneath the sedilia, creating a quiet room where forgotten lives still occupy the floor.

A medieval graveslab (L 1.6m; Wth 0.4-0.65m) lying recumbent beneath the E window of the church interior close to the N wall. The slab is slightly tapering and has a bevelled edge all around. It is broken across in two places and there is no apparent carving or inscription. A second medieval graveslab (CL060-011004-) lies beneath the sedilia.
