Graveslab in Baile Chláir: A 17th-century slab measured 1.65 by 0.69m and bore a prayer for the souls of IOHN LYNCH and another LYNCH whose name the stone no longer holds. It lay on the floor of the N transept of the friary, reused in 1869, then vanished from sight by June 2018. What remains is a gap where a name should be, a reminder that even stone forgets.

Recorded by Bradley and Dunne (1992, 62) as being located on the floor of the N transept of the friary (GA070-035001-) and described as a 17th-century slab (L 1.65m; Wth 0.69m) that was reused in 1869. It bears the following inscription: [PRAY] FOR THE SOVLES/ [OF] IOHN LYNCH & … / BR … LYNCH … WHOSE/ …N LYE HERE On inspection in June 2018 this slab could not be identified.
