Graveslab in Ardfert is an uninscribed tapering limestone slab from the 13th or 14th century, still lying in the chancel. Its moulded edges and gradual narrowing suggest careful work for a person important enough to mark but forgotten by time. The absence of a name does not empty it; it hands the story back to imagination, remembering that grave markers exist to give shape to loss and honor the dead.
