What is recorded here

Situated about half a mile SE of the cathedral, on the south bank of the river, this Romanesque church (WI023-031----) is one of the latest at Glendalough. Said to have been founded for Augustinian Canons by St Lawrence O'Toole in 1162, it became Arroasian probably soon after 1163 (Gwynn and Hadcock 1988, 177). This nave and chancel church stands in the centre of an oval or D-shaped graveyard (dims. 18m N-S x 41m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; H 1.5m) with drystone walling acting as a revetment for the external face of the bank.
