Nine metres long and five wide, the children's grave yard rises above marsh water in Grange, County Galway, its small stones breaking through sod like knots in a dark rope. A holy well waits two hundred seventy metres south, perhaps supplying the clarity that bruised land withholds. What the children repeated there may have been names, warnings or the bare fact that love does not measure distance.

In very marshy land. This children's burial ground (L 9m; Wth 5m) consists of a raised rectangular area which is enclosed by a stone wall. Within the interior numerous small headstones are visible breaking through the sod cover. A holy well (GA115-04----) lies c. 270m to the S.
