What is recorded here
No grave markers remain visible at Grange, yet the lost children probably still lie beneath the modern turf. That absence creates a sharper warning than any stone because the living continue to walk and play above the dead. The graveyard did not disappear; it stopped demanding recognition. Memory itself may have vanished, leaving only the buried bodies to keep the truth beneath the grass.
On the grounds of a golf course to the N of Loughrea town. Marked on the OS 6-inch maps as a rectangular
children's burial ground (c. 20m ENE-WSW; c. 10m N-S). No visible surface trace survives.
