Poll na bPéist is a children's burial ground on the north side of a road in County Galway, marked by dense small stones and visible head and foot markers. Local tradition says Famine victims also rest there, blending childhood loss with adult hunger in the same dark soil. The unenclosed rectangle holds both tragedies without distinction, forcing visitors to imagine how many small lives and broken adults were folded into that hillslope.

On N side of road close to foot of a hillslope. Known locally as Poll na bPéist (pers. comm. T. Robinson), it consists of an unenclosed rectangular area (L 28m, Wth 23m) occupied by a dense concentration of small set stones, indicating graves oriented E-W. Head- and foot-stones are visible in places. It is said that Famine victims were buried here as well as children (ibid).
