Headland

What is recorded here

Gob Scapanish is shown as a headland on the public map of Na h-Eileanan Siar. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
Gob Scapanish is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature located in the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago, composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in the British Isles, dating back over 2.7 billion years. These rocks formed through high-grade metamorphism of ancient igneous and sedimentary rocks and are notable for their durability and the insight they provide into early Earth crustal processes.
