What is recorded here

Glendivan is a medieval tower house in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, recorded in the national historic environment register. Its exact position remains uncertain within a hundred metres, hiding the building beside ordinary land rather than marking it for display. The uncertainty does not weaken the place; it refuses the usual certainty of modern maps. A tower built for defense and memory may still be waiting for someone patient enough to find it without being told where it is.
