St Mungo's Roman Catholic Church in Glasgow is named after St Mungo (also known as Kentigern), the 6th-century patron saint of Glasgow, traditionally credited with founding the city's first Christian church. While the church itself is a 19th-century structure, it continues a long tradition of Christian worship linked to St Mungo, whose legends include miracles and the founding of a monastic site on the Molendinar Burn.
