What is recorded here

Glasgow Castle Street carried at least two hospital frontages, 82-86 and 88a-92, during the twentieth century. One can picture nurses running past brass doors, patients waiting in crowded corridors, and doctors arguing over treatments while the city clangered beyond the windows. The buildings may have saved lives, broken hearts or both. They still belong to Glasgow, even when their rooms no longer answer.
