What is recorded here
Castlemilk Drive cuts through Glasgow as an ordinary road, yet ordinariness is where memory lives. The drive carries people past houses, shops and fields of rain, and that repeated passing is the shape of the place. To call it general is not to diminish it; it is to admit that life keeps happening everywhere, even where no monument stands.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Glasgow, Castlemilk Drive, General as General View (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
