Gigha, Tobar A' Bheathaig

Tobar A' Bheathaig on Gigha is traditionally associated with Saint Bheathag, a 6th-century Irish saint and one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland, who is believed to have founded a monastery on the island. The well was historically visited for its healing properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and was a site of pilgrimage and ritual cleansing.
