Giants Grave is a substantial wedge tomb on a hilltop in County Cavan, Ireland. Cup-marks and at least two cup-and-ring motifs appear on the upper surface of the western-most roofstone covering the portico. The tomb still stands among trees, preserving marks made by hands that no longer speak.
Situated on a hilltop and surrounded by trees are the impressive remains of a substantial wedge tomb (CV004-005----). The rock art occurs on the upper surface of the western-most roofstone covering the portico. It comprise a series of cup-marks and at least two cup-and-ring motifs. Giants Grave is likely from the Neolithic period, associated with early farming communities in the Burren region. The rock art may have held ritual or symbolic significance, possibly linked to funerary practices or ancestral veneration.
