What is recorded here
Giant's Grave at Commons, County Leitrim, is a double court tomb where two ritual forecourts face outward from opposite ends, a form among the oldest megalithic buildings in Ireland. Its southeast gallery stretches about seven metres into two chambers, while the shorter northwest gallery holds one chamber and still keeps some upright court stones standing. The mound measures roughly twenty-six by twenty metres, large enough to command attention even in reduced form, and it sits on a gentle rise above ordinary farmland. People may have gathered at either end to honour the dead, perform seasonal rites or mark the boundary between living memory and buried time.
Giant's Grave is recorded as a archaeological place in County Cavan. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
