What is recorded here
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Georgios Markettos as Wreck from the 20fed Ganrif period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The Georgios Markettos was a Greek-registered cargo ship that ran aground on the Llyn Peninsula in Wales during a storm in 1940. The wreck resulted in the loss of several crew members and a significant amount of cargo, and it remains a notable example of wartime shipping losses in Welsh waters.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
