George’s Scar is a sea cliff on the North Yorkshire coast, composed primarily of Jurassic limestone and shale, formed around 150 to 200 million years ago through sedimentary deposition in a shallow marine environment. The feature is notable for its dramatic coastal erosion patterns and the exposure of layered rock formations that provide insight into the region's geological history.
