King George III was the monarch of Great Britain and Ireland from 1760 to 1820, known for his reign during the American Revolution and periods of mental illness; Earl Henry Belasyse, also known as Lord Fauconberg, was a British nobleman whose house once stood on this site and hosted King George III in 1788.
