This blue commemorative plaque records: Seaham Hall built in 1792 on the site of an old manor house. This hall has hosted royalty, Prime Ministers and many illustrious guests including the poet Lord Byron Recorded plaque organisation: Seaham Heritage Association.

Lord George Gordon Byron was a renowned British Romantic poet known for works such as "Childe Harold's Pilgrimage" and "Don Juan," and his involvement in Greek War of Independence; he visited Seaham Hall, which has hosted numerous notable figures.

A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
