Geir

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Geir as Steamship (period Unassigned)-(1908). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Geir* was a steamship built in 1908, later identified as a 1923 steel-hulled coaster that wrecked on the Isle of May, Scotland, in 1934. It ran aground during a storm, resulting in the loss of two crew members and significant cargo; the wreck remains a notable maritime archaeological site.
