What is recorded here

One stone is missing. The 1842 survey showed a pair beside a stone circle, but only a broad low slab remains in the boggy pasture. That sudden absence turns Gallauns into a trap for memory: either people moved it, the earth took it, or the first survey invented half the story. The surviving gallaun still stands like a witness refusing to explain itself.
