What is recorded here

Two stones, one dwarf and one giant, face each other across a bogged valley in County Cork. They may have marked a boundary, a burial or a warning, but their size difference suggests asymmetry rather than ceremony. The valley fog erases every angle except the gap between them, forcing the mind to complete what the flesh refused to show.

In commanding position on shoulder of bog-covered hill on SE side of valley of Gortloughra river. Stones, aligned NE-SW, stand 1.8m apart; overall length 2.25m. NE stone is 0.55m L, 0.5m T and 1.3m H. SW stone is 0.9m L, 0.6m T and 2.1m H.
