What is recorded here

Two stones face each other across a narrow pasture gap, one fallen and one still standing, as if interrupted mid-conversation. They sit near the head of the Mealagh valley, aligned like a threshold rather than a monument, and a wedge-tomb waits beyond the river. Whatever transaction happened here, the stones never finished it.

On level patch of ground in sloping pasture on N side and near head of valley of Mealagh river. One stone lies prostrate; it measures at least 2m x 0.9m and is over 0.15m T. Second stone 1.4m to W, is 1.1m L, 0.6m T and 2m H. Stones appear to have been aligned NE-SW. Wedge-tomb (CO106-034---) lies across river 350m to SW.
