Gallauns is a squat Bronze Age standing stone in rough pasture on the Iveragh Peninsula, one half of a pair that vanished between survey editions. The remaining slab stands 1.54 metres high, broad and hunched rather than proud, overlooking the Kealafreaghane river where rain and grass have softened its edges. It may have marked a boundary, a memory or a route through difficult terrain, but the loss of its partner has erased the shape of that intention. What survives is astubborn presence, half-hidden in boggy ground, still pointing toward whatever the missing stone once completed.

In pasture overlooking Ihernagh River to SE. Fallen stone (L 2.2m; 0.8m x 0.35m). Stone (CO121-042002-) is 22m to SSE.
