What is recorded here

Gallaun is a tall standing stone in Glanleam, County Kerry, trapped inside a much younger earthwork called Cromwell's Fort. The prehistoric upright predates the fort by millennia, forcing later builders either to honour its age or to ignore it completely. A leaning slab now braces the stone after it loosened in its socket, proving that even ancient things need occasional human help to remain vertical.
