What is recorded here

Gallán is a half-metre-tall rectangular stone in Mid Cork pasture, leaning slightly above buried packing stones while a wedge tomb and cairn watch from thirty metres away. It may have marked a boundary, a dead person, or a place where people gathered before roads existed. The stone still stands because soil and forgetfulness touched it lightly.

In pasture, on S-facing slope, c. 30m E of wedge-tomb (6426), and c. 35m N of cairn (CO059-10203-). Stone (H 0.8m; 0.8m x 0.3m) is subrectangular in plan, with packing stones exposed at base; long axis ENE-WSW.
