What is recorded here

Gallán was a single standing stone on a north-facing pasture slope in County Cork, marked on the 1938 map but absent from the earlier 1842 survey. It has since been removed, leaving no visible surface trace. Whatever purpose it served, whether boundary, memorial or local belief, that function disappeared with the stone itself.
