Two stones, three or four feet high with eight feet of girth, stood atop Musheramore Mountain with a broad flag stone lying between them. Donal Damanta was buried there, a quiet fact preserved in local memory before Matthew Twomey removed the stones to build a gullet under the road. The high cutaway bog swallowed the mark completely, leaving no surface trace except the possibility that the mountain still holds the shape of what was taken.

Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as pair of standing stones and named 'Gallauns'. Shown on 1904 OS 6-inch map as pair of stones standing c. 40m to S of possible standing stones (6587). In high cutaway bog to S of Musheramore Mountain. Removed; no visible surface trace. May be stones described by Broker (1937, 23) on Tim Kelliher's land, atop mountain and consisting of 'two standing stones -3 or 4ft. high and 8ft. girth' with 'flag lying between them 4ft. wide and 6ft. long'; 'Donal Damanta was buried here'; 'stones removed by MatthewTwomey to make gullet under the road'.
