What is recorded here

Marked only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6 inch map, and situated on the SW bank of a SE-NW stream. The area was covered in impenetrable furze, but it was described in 1940 (OSFM) as a rectangular mound (dims c. 4.5m NW-SE; c. 2.4m NE-SW; H c. 1.8m) backing onto the stream and with an indentation on the SW side. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
