In rough hill pasture, on a N-facing slope, overlooking the valley of Lough Inchiquin. A sod-covered horseshoe-shaped mound (8.7m N-S; 7m E-W; H 1.1m) of burnt material with the opening (Wth 1.5m) facing W towards the river. The mound is eroded by the river at NW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
